With dental sedation, we have a variety of techniques at our disposal to make patients more comfortable during dental procedures.
At Dental One Bankers Hall, we are committed to helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their dental appointments. Along with offering sedation options including nitrous oxide and oral sedation, we work at your pace, take breaks when you need them, and provide calm reassurance as required.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
When inhaled through the mouth and nose, nitrous oxide calms patients while they remain awake and able to communicate. It tends to increase pain threshold, reduce gag reflex, make time pass more quickly and lessen anxiety.
Oral Sedation
Your dentist can prescribe oral sedatives in liquid or pill form, which are taken orally about an hour before a dental appointment. It leaves you awake for the procedure, though it produces a calming effect to leave you feeling significantly relaxed.
